Sunday, February 1st Announcements

BAPTISM: Cornerstone will be holding a baptism service soon. If you have never been scripturally baptized and are interested in participating, you will need to attend a class on the meaning of baptism on Sunday, February 15th at 9 a.m.

LOTTIE MOON CAMPAIGN: Today we’ll be announcing the final total for our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering to support Southern Baptist international missions. Thank you to all those who responded to the challenge to give significantly to this important effort. It’s truly exciting to see what God can do when every part of the body is responsive and faithful.

Sunday, December 14th Announcements

THANK YOU! Thanks to everyone who came to reach our neighbors at yesterday’s Christmas Outreach. Pray that God would use this effort to draw people to Himself this Christmas season.

Tonight at 6 p.m. is our FELLOWSHIP MEAL. Join us for this fun time of church-wide fellowship prior to our business meeting. Remember, the church is no longer supplying meat so meat dishes are welcome. Please bring a generous dish or two to share to ensure enough food for everyone.

Our QUARTERLY BUSINESS MEETING begins tonight immediately following our meal. This is a very important meeting as we will be adopting our 2009 church budget and presenting important information regarding the future of Cornerstone. This is a meeting every member needs to attend.

Our fellowship groups are designed to provide the intimacy, accountability, and outreach opportunities our church needs. They will meet the first and third Sunday night of each month, and will provide a time of getting acquainted, Bible study and discussion, and outreach to unchurched friends, neighbors, and co-workers. These groups will be the focal point for relationships and evangelism at Cornerstone so we want every member of Cornerstone to get involved. Our groups will start November 2nd.

Sign-up sheets for five different meeting locations will be available in the foyer following the service, and someone will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Beginning Sept. 5th all children in grades K – 5 will have a special program just for them from 6:45 to 8 p.m. each week. They’ll learn about missionaries, sharing Jesus with their friends, and have lots of fun. For more information or to support this new ministry, contact Lynn Turner.

Don’t forget the Men’s Breakfast this Saturday, August 30th at 8 a.m. at the church. All men and their guests are invited. Please bring a baked good (donuts, muffins, danish, etc.) to share.

MISSIONS UPDATE: Today is your last chance to contribute to Cornerstone’s Back to School Missions school supply drive. We will be sorting the items and setting up on Wednesday, August 13th for the distribution on Saturday, August 16th. Anyone interested in helping with those events is invited to join us. Remember to pray for God to use this outreach to our community.

BOWLING TONIGHT: The Men’s Ministry bowling outing was moved to today. Join us at Hudson Bowl on U.S. 19 north of Hudson Avenue at 6 p.m. All men and their guests are invited.

ONLY ONE MORE SUNDAY: We’re making great progress on our Back to School Missions school supply drive but we need YOU to get involved. On Saturday, August 16th, Cornerstone will be providing free school supplies to needy students and families in our community. The need is great and we’re asking every family to bring in a few extra items as the new school year approaches. Please place your donations in the box in the foyer and be in prayer for God to use this outreach to our community. Donations will be accepted through next Sunday morning.
