OUTREACH BREAKFAST: The Volunteer Way will be hosting a breakfast for the needy of our community this Sat., Feb. 9th from 8:30 to 11 am at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Port Richey.  Help is needed with serving, clean-up and activities for children. See Chris Beaman for more information and help people learn about Cornerstone and our Lord.

Monthly Fellowship Meal Join us next Sunday night, April 6^th at 6 p.m. for a time of food and fellowship. This is our monthly Fellowship Meal and it’s designed for the church to meet together to build relationships and enjoy one another’s company. Cornerstone’s Missions Team will also be presenting an overview of our identity as Southern Baptists and give you a chance to ask any questions you may have. Please join us and bring a dish or two to share:

Women's Ministry The deadline for signing up for the Women’s Mentoring Ministry has been extended through next week. Prayerfully consider being a part of this wonderful ministry.

Have a heart for Prayer? Cornerstone is seeking a member to serve as Prayer Coordinator. This person would communicate weekly prayer requests and help organize and promote our prayer efforts. If you share a passion for prayer and are interested in helping our church in this ministry, please contact one of the elders.

Men’s Ministry Kick-Off! A Men’s Breakfast is planned for Saturday, April 19^th at the IHOP on U.S. 19 in New Port Richey (across from Gulf Harbors). Join us at 8 a.m. for a time of food and fellowship as we discuss what you want from a men’s ministry. Come and bring a friend.

Sunday, March 16th Announcements

Palm Sunday: This Sunday we celebrate Palm Sunday, a remembrance of the beginning of the Passion Week for our Lord Jesus Christ. Please pause during the coming days and reflect on the meaning of this special time, thanking God for the giving of His Son. Invite friends and neighbors to join us next Sunday as we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection.

Fellowship Night This Sunday Night! To provide more opportunity for fellowship and prayer and to better focus on communion, we are creating a special service for the third Sunday night of each month. In addition to celebrating communion together, there will be special music, testimonies and prayer. Join us Sunday Night at 6 p.m. as we launch this exciting new event.

Today is an exciting day at Cornerstone as our new Sunday School and Children’s Church programs began. If you missed it, Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. and includes classes for children, youth, and adults. Our worship service now begins at 10 a.m. and includes Children’s Church for ages 4 -8. Join us next week for these new learning opportunities!

WEEKLY MINISTRY SCHEDULE:

Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults meet on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.

Our Children’s Church program for age 4 – 5^th grade meets during preaching time on Sunday mornings. The program is designed to teach children about worship and equip them to join their parents in the service as soon as possible.

Church-wide Bible study and prayer on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. Pastor Walls is continuing a study of Ecclesiology by looking at the subject of worship. Please join us for this important time of corporate prayer and study.

Cornerstone Youth: Middle school and high school students meet Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m.

A Women’s Bible Study currently meets Fridays at 9:45 a.m. at the church. Kelly Trill is leading a study of "7 Words to Change Your Family" by James McDonald. Nursery is provided. To meet the needs of others, this study will be repeated on a week night beginning later this month.

January 20th, 2008 Announcements

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY COMING SOON!
Ladies, please plan to join us for Cornerstone's new Women's Bible Study. We’ll begin with a six-week session on Friday mornings, starting February 1st. We'll meet from 9:45-11:30 for fellowship, study and prayer. Child care will be provided for infants through preschool age children, with space for homeschool children to work as well. If you can't make the morning sessions, don't worry! Our next session will begin on Monday evenings in March and we will study the same curriculum, so you won't miss out. We can't wait to begin studying together!

HELP NEEDED!
We’re asking for members of Cornerstone to step up and help with the cleaning of the building on a weekly basis. Individuals, couples, families or groups are welcome to help out in this important ministry. For the next two weeks, the Trustees will be available to answer questions and sign people up immediately following the service at the table in the foyer. Please help whenever and however you can.
