EXCITING OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES!

·         SPREAD THE WORD: Help us get the word out about our upcoming clothing outreach by distributing flyers in the church neighborhood.  We'll be going out from the church on Thursday and Friday evening, April 11th and 12th, or you can take some flyers today to distribute in your spare time.

·         OUTREACH BREAKFAST: The next Volunteer Way breakfast for the needy is Saturday, April 13th at 8:30 am at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Port Richey. Help is needed to serve, clean up, and spread the word about our clothing outreach immediately following.

·         CLOTHING OUTREACH: Only two weeks left to contribute new or lightly-used clothing for the needy and we especially need clothes for babies and children.  On Saturday, April 13^th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. we’ll serve coffee and pastries and invite our neighbors in. See Jason or Tara Anderson for information on how you can help with this great outreach opportunity.

Sunday, April 27th Announcements

Family Skate Night: Cornerstone Youth will hold their family roller skating fundraiser this Thursday, May 1^st from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at SpinNations on Congress Street in New Port Richey. The cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. Tickets are on sale now and advance sales include a free soda. Come and have some fun while you support our youth group.

Missions Meal! Monthly Fellowship Meal: Join us Sunday night, April 6^th for a relaxing time of food and fellowship. This is our monthly Fellowship Meal and it’s designed for the church to meet together over food to build relationships and enjoy one another’s company. We will also be presenting an overview of our identity as Southern Baptists. Plan on being here at 6 p.m. and bring a dish or two to share.

Have a heart for Prayer? Our mid-week meeting provides an opportunity to share needs and to pray together for our church. Please join us. Also, Cornerstone is seeking a member to serve as Prayer Coordinator. This person would communicate weekly prayer requests and help organize our prayer efforts. If you share a passion for prayer and are interested in serving, please contact one of the elders.

Palm Sunday: This Sunday we celebrate Palm Sunday, a remembrance of the beginning of the Passion Week for our Lord Jesus Christ. Please pause during the coming days and reflect on the meaning of this special time, thanking God for the giving of His Son. Invite friends and neighbors to join us next Sunday as we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection.

WEEKLY MINISTRY SCHEDULE:

Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults meet on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.

Our Children’s Church program for age 4 – 5^th grade meets during preaching time on Sunday mornings. The program is designed to teach children about worship and equip them to join their parents in the service as soon as possible.

Church-wide Bible study and prayer on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. Pastor Walls is continuing a study of Ecclesiology by looking at the subject of worship. Please join us for this important time of corporate prayer and study.

Cornerstone Youth: Middle school and high school students meet Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m.

A Women’s Bible Study currently meets Fridays at 9:45 a.m. at the church. Kelly Trill is leading a study of "7 Words to Change Your Family" by James McDonald. Nursery is provided. To meet the needs of others, this study will be repeated on a week night beginning later this month.
